As I work my way through the details of creating a new website, I learn more and more about all that happens in our mountain world.
We don’t often stop to think about all the activities Glacier Gals make possible in our community life.
Social opportunities
- Monthly Potluck Dinners, bringing us together regularly to share stories and great food.
- Pancake Breakfasts, pancakes, eggs, sausage and more, prepared for us by our neighbors and friends, at our common meeting times at least once each year.
- Holiday Party, celebrating the end of each year and the fortitude of those of us who choose to live here year-around.
Service work
- Adopt -a-Highway Program, keeping Hwy 74E clear of debris for our entire six-mile frontage, along our buck and rail fencing.
- Community Workday, once each year rallying support for a great annual cleanup of our common areas.
Fund Raising
- GVM Logo Wear, sweatshirts, t-shirts, mugs, and more.
- Aluminum recycling, keeping our landfills open, re-using a valuable resource, raising moneys for supporting local enterprises.
- Reflective house number signs, keeping us safe and visible for effective emergency response, in support of our local medical and fire volunteers.
