There’s no substitute for being with other people as a way of finding out what’s going on.
We meet at the mailboxes. We open the locks for each other at the recycling center. And we bump into each other as we meet with office staff in the GVM Office.
We meet together regularly for opportunities to see our friends, to get caught up with events in their lives and in our mountain community. Nothing like a good meeting to get to hear the rumors, which in these parts are healthy and fun and always couched as matters of genuine concern and appreciation.
These are the activities we build into our lives, to nourish our bonds with each other, getting to know one another in the slow and deep ways that are only possible with the opportunities to spend time together over time.
